During my time at Institute of Play, I spent many years working full time at the New York City public school, Quest to Learn, where I collaborated with 6th-12th teachers to design game-like curriculum and learning games for the classroom. Most of the games were non-digital and focused on an explicit learning goal, allowing students the opportunity to practice key skills and apply difficult concepts and ideas. For the games below, I designed the experience and mechanics of play as well as the visual design.
